Hi, everyone! I’m Veronica, and I’m visiting with you again today from my blog, sewVery.
It’s that time of year again–holiday season! How did it sneak up on me so fast? If you’re like me, you’d rather stay out of the crowded stores and shop (and sew) at home. So to help you do just that, I’ve put together a great tutorial that will help you make a few gifts for some loved ones on your list. It’s a Cuddle™ Pocket Blanket!
Babies and children love elephants! So… we designed a crib quilt pattern, Ele-Fun, with an adorable elephant applique. Ele-Fun features geometric chevrons and zigzags, combined with a few solids. You can make it in 3 colorways: Blue, Pink and Lemon.
(It is shown here in blue, both above and below.)
Here it is in Pink:
Here it is in Lemon:
Gayle Camargo, our Cuddle Specialist, designed the pattern to incorporate our Chevrons & ZigZags and Kozy Cuddle Solids. To view the collection of Chevrons & ZigZags, click here: Chevrons & ZigZags. And, to view the collection of Kozy Cuddle Solids, click here: Kozy Cuddle Solids.
The pattern is available as a free download. Download it here: Ele-Fun.
And, as a handy reference, we have a tutorial on how to applique with Cuddle: How to Applique with Cuddle.
Which color will you make?
Hello Cuddle friends! I’m Denise from Whimsy Couture™. I’m so proud about my pattern “One-Hour Adult or Child Cuddle Scarf” being published in the October/November 2013 issue of McCall’s Quick Quilts!
Here’s a little bit more about the scarves and the pattern. These Cuddle Scarves are so fast and easy to sew! I designed two versions: a cowl and a tie. Sizes include: adults, children 6-12, and toddlers to 5T. The pattern features step-by-step photos and instructions on how to make the scarves. It also includes detailed tips for working with Cuddle.
I used Cuddle from Shannon Fabrics to make the scarves. Cuddle is so soft, cozy, and warm- so it’s perfect for scarves! For the adult version, I used Chevrons from the Chevrons & ZigZags Cuddle Prints collection. For the child’s version, I used Spice Market, a Shannon Studio Cuddle Collection™.
I also have free online project tutorials for both types of scarves at the following links:
The Cuddle Scarves are fully patterned in the October/November 2013 McCall’s Quick Quilts issue shown below.

I hope you like my patterns! Please comment and let me know what you think!
Hi Cuddle friends! I’m Dana Brooks and I am a designer for Shannon Fabrics. I designed my first Cuddle collection, Lagoona By Dana Brooks, exclusively for Shannon Fabrics. I also own The Cuddle Cottage in St. George, Utah, a unique boutique concept shop that carries Cuddle Fabrics exclusively.
Today, I’d like to share Floral Frenzy, a new project and pattern that I designed for a Cuddle Quilt. And, it is available in convenient kits! One kit features Lagoona and some Kozy Cuddle Solids. The other features a combination of Cuddle Prints in Chevrons and Izzy by Ann Kelle, a Robert Kaufman Cuddle Collection.
Here is the top shown in Lagoona:
Here is the finished quilt shown in Izzy by Ann Kelle and Chevron:
This adorable quilt combines Cuddle applique with alternating squares. It can be sewn in rows using our Sew and Flip method, requiring no machine quilting, or it can be traditionally pieced and machine quilted. Please click this link here for a pattern tutorial on the Sew and Flip method.

My granddaughter , Hannah, helped me make the sample for my shop! Here she is working with the applique shapes.
